The following information is available for study and review by work groups from the Green Marine Summit. This information is provided to educate, indicate focus, and enlist commitment. Summit work groups strive to help marine businesses improve waterfront construction methods.

Members of waterfront industry associations and other professionals are welcome to make comments, suggestions and contributions to this collection. Please contact the designated workshop chairperson.

The overall goal of each working group is to develop example guidelines for sustainable, clean (green) marine construction.

Amendment 6 Passes

Saving Our Working Waterfront

Passage of this Amendment eliminates the current best and highest use real sate assessment from waterfront properties which provide public access to FL waters.  Properties would be assessed on the basis of revenue generation and physical plant.  Failure to pass will force marinas and boat yard out of business and convert the land to other uses.
